Felt is the traditional method applied with a hot torch and built up in layers.

GRP is a modern alternative that cretaes a seamless finish and is available in many colours.

Lead is still used on listed building refurbishment projects but due to cost and maintenance issues is rarely used.

Single ply roofing solutions such as epdm rubber membranes or Alwitra are also available.
